The Farmer's Daughter and Vanessa Cook from Fleur du Mal are delighted to host and invite you to join us for a Natural Perfumery Workshop at The Annex Waiheke. A morning or evening workshop will fill your senses with delight in the art of perfumery on Thursday 2nd February, 2017.
In this hands-on workshop, Vanessa will help you to experience many different aromatics and learn the techniques to evaluate them. She'll talk about the glorious history of perfume, including the advent of synthetics in the 20th century and the recent renaissance of natural perfumery. You'll also have the opportunity to explore New Zealand's unique scents and perfume materials. And Vanessa will work with you to create your own individual perfume to take home.
Meet The Maker
Vanessa York is a natural perfumer based in Auckland. Currently an Artist-in-Residence at Studio One Toi Tu, she is passionate about NZ perfumery - that is, creating perfumes and scents that reflect a sense of here, rather than there. She was recently interviewed on Radio New Zealand by Jesse Mulligan.
